Galette with figs and brie

Let us carry on with autumn baking. Today we are sharing a recipe for a galette with an unusual filling — figs and brie. It is a seasonal treat for everyone who likes light desserts.

It comes together simply and quickly — see for yourself.

Ingredients for the pastry

  • 200 g wholemeal flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp ice-cold water
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling

  • 4 figs
  • 200 g brie
  • Provençal herb mix
  • honey and nuts to taste

Method

  1. Rub the flour with the butter, salt and icing sugar into fine crumbs. Add the egg and water and knead quickly. Shape into a ball, wrap in cling film and put in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  2. Wash the figs and cut them into thin rounds; slice the cheese thinly.
  3. Roll the pastry out thinly into a circle, lay out the brie and then the figs. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with the herbs.
  4. Fold the edges over and bake the galette for 35 minutes at 180 °C.

Enjoy!
