Saucers

Per page: 12/24/48/All

Saucers on their own, sold separately – 34 items. They come in handy twice: when one saucer from a set has broken, and when you want to pair a cup with a base in a different colour.

Diameters

  • 11–12 cm – for espresso cups and small coffee cups.
  • 14 cm – the universal size for 200–250 ml cups.
  • 15 cm – for large cups and mugs, with room for a biscuit beside it.

Match the diameter to the base of the cup, not to its rim – the saucer should be at least two centimetres wider than the foot of the cup.

Colours

All saucers are porcelain under a coloured glaze and come from two collections: Spiral (22 items) and Splash (12 items) of the Color Boom family. Shades include green, blue, purple, red and yellow. In the Splash series the glaze is applied by hand, so no two saucers are identical.

Other uses

A 14–15 cm saucer often serves as a small plate for biscuits or a used teabag, or as a candle base. Matching cups are in cups and saucers, and single mugs in mugs and cups.

Washing

All 34 saucers are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Frequently asked questions

How do I match a saucer to a cup?

Measure the base of the cup and add 2–3 cm. A 250 ml cup usually takes a 14 or 15 cm saucer.

Does the colour have to match the cup?

It does not. The Spiral and Splash collections are designed so the colours mix with each other and with white porcelain.

Do you sell single saucers?

Yes, this whole category is saucers sold separately, without a cup.
