Serving Plate

Per page: 12/24/48/All

Large plates for serving a dish to the whole table, or for laying under a place setting. 23 items.

Three uses

  • For serving – square platters 29×29 and 31×31 cm, for a roast, vegetables or cake.
  • With a high rim – 25.5 cm, the rim keeps sauce on the plate instead of the tablecloth.
  • Chargers – a 33 cm glass plate that sits under the dinner plate at a formal setting.

Materials and colours

21 of the 23 items are porcelain. Ten belong to the coloured Spiral line, the rest are Fine Porcelain white and Slatestone matte black, with single pieces from Emily, Teona, Atrium and Atrium Pro. One charger is crystal glass and one piece is bamboo.

How a charger plate works

It goes on the tablecloth before the guests arrive and stays there for the whole meal – the other plates are changed on top of it. The place setting is never empty and the cloth stays clean. A 33 cm charger fits under a 25–27 cm dinner plate.

Ordinary dinner plates are in plates, and serving platters among platters.

Washing

22 of the 23 items are dishwasher safe. The exception is the bamboo piece, which needs hand washing.

Frequently asked questions

How is a serving plate different from a dinner plate?

Diameter and role. A dinner plate is 25–27 cm and belongs to one person; a serving plate is 29–33 cm and stands in the middle of the table or under the setting.

Do I need a charger plate every day?

No, it belongs to a formal setting. For everyday use the dinner plate is enough.

Can the coloured Spiral plates be mixed?

Yes, the line is designed for mixing – different shades at one table are the intended effect.
