Sugar Bowl

Per page: 12/24/48/All

Lidded sugar bowls for tea and coffee: 22 models holding from 50 to 550 ml.

Which capacity

  • 50–150 ml – for two or three people, or for sachets.
  • 250–300 ml – the household size, enough for several days.
  • 400–550 ml – for sugar cubes and for a table with more people around it.

For cubes choose a wider model rather than a taller one: the spoon has to go in flat and the cubes must not jam under the lid.

Materials

20 of the 22 bowls are porcelain: white Fine Porcelain (14), Diamond (3), Ilona (2) and matte black Slatestone. The other two are CrystalDeco crystal glass, 8.5×11 and 11×13 cm – a clear bowl shows what is inside and matches the glass teapots.

Completing the set

The easiest match for a sugar bowl is cups and saucers from the same line. Milk jugs, cake stands and warmers are in tea and coffee accessories.

Washing

21 of the 22 bowls are dishwasher safe. The exception is a gold-rimmed model – wash it by hand. Load the lid and the body separately so they do not knock together.

Frequently asked questions

Does the bowl have a notch for the spoon?

Some models do, some do not. The product page says which.

Can I keep honey in it?

Yes, porcelain does not react with honey. Just rinse it with warm water right after use – honey is far harder to wash off once dry.

Will sugar clump in porcelain?

Porcelain is non-porous and lets no moisture through. Clumping comes from humid air, which is what the lid is for.
