Wine Bucket

A stainless steel wine bucket with double walls: 13 × 19 cm, 1300 ml capacity, 178 zł. From the Hollowware collection, it holds a bottle at temperature without ice.
Why the double wall
A classic bucket needs iced water. Ice draws heat away quickly, but an hour later you are left with tepid water, condensation collects on the outside and drips onto the tablecloth. A double wall works differently: the layer of air between the walls insulates. A bottle chilled beforehand in the fridge stays at temperature through the whole meal – no ice, no water, no stains on the cloth.
What fits inside
At 13 cm across and 19 cm tall it takes a standard 0.75 l bottle, still or sparkling. The bottle sits deep enough to stand steady while the neck stays above the rim, so you lift it out with one hand. The 1300 ml capacity leaves room for iced water if you need it – then the bucket will chill a bottle from room temperature in about fifteen minutes.
Serving temperatures
- Sparkling – 6–8 °C, the coldest of wines; this is where the bucket earns its place.
- White and rosé – 8–12 °C. The fridge does the chilling, the bucket holds the temperature at the table.
- Red – 14–18 °C. On a hot day a light red is worth cooling by a few degrees too.
Cleaning
Not dishwasher safe and not for the microwave. Wash by hand in warm soapy water and dry with a microfibre cloth – polished steel streaks if left to dry on its own. No abrasive powders or steel wool.
Carafes, decanters and wine jugs are in wine carafes and jugs, and the glasses in wine glasses.
Frequently asked questions
Will a double-walled bucket chill a bottle from room temperature?
Not on air alone. Chill the bottle in the fridge first, or add iced water to the bucket. The double wall is there to hold temperature, not to cool quickly.
Does water collect on the outside?
No. The air gap stops vapour condensing on the outer wall, so the bucket can stand directly on the tablecloth.
What is the difference between a wine bucket and a wine cooler?
In shops these are usually the same thing under different names: wine bucket, wine cooler, chiller. The real difference is the build – iced water, or an insulated double wall.
